The donor area is removed and the incision is closed. The scar quality will depend on two factors: surgical technique and tension, therefore we are not able to remove a very wide strip as it could widen the scar. The sutures are biodegradable and will fall out spontaneously between 10-15 days after surgery. As they do not need to be removed, patients benefit in terms of comfort and convenience.
