The
follicular units are preserved
in a cool saline solution during
the entire surgery to prevent
them from drying out and to maintain
the vitality of the roots. At
the time of placing them in the
transplant region, a microsurgical
blade is used to create a very
small incision (like a needle
prick) and the follicular unit
is immediately placed in the incision.
Great care is used while handling
the FUs. They cannot experience
any physical trauma as they are
very sensitive and the roots could
die. At this moment in surgery
you are not feeling pain. Our
patients relax while they watch
a film during surgery. |
