6º step: Mark and prepare donor area

The next step is definitively marking donor area. The elasticity is measured (which will determine the maximum width possible) as well as the density of the donor region. Now the area to be removed is marked. At this point, as we know the density per square centimeter as well as the area in square centimeters, we obtain an idea of the number of FUs to be transplanted. It is important that the hair is not shaved beyond the limits of the donor area so that upon suturing the incision, the normal length hairs match up, making it nearly imperceptible that a strip has been removed.
