step: Mark and prepare donor area

The
next step is definitively marking
donor area. The elasticity is
measured (which will determine
the maximum width possible) as
well as the density of the donor
region. Now the area to be removed
is marked. At this point, as we
know the density per square centimeter
as well as the area in square
centimeters, we obtain an idea
of the number of FUs to be transplanted.
It is important that the hair
is not shaved beyond the limits
of the donor area so that upon
suturing the incision, the normal
length hairs match up, making
it nearly imperceptible that a
strip has been removed. |
